The application utilizes traditional Japanese definitions for dawn and dusk, established during the samurai era, which closely resemble civil twilight. Civil twilight occurs when the sun's center is 6° below the horizon, while dawn and dusk are defined by the sun's center being 7.3611° below the horizon. Enabling the civil twilight mode ensures that dawn and dusk align with civil dawn and civil dusk.
